Two young artists, A. Balasubramaniam and Manisha Parekh, work
within a
deep and firm rootedness to the elements of life. Bala constructs
issues about the nature of perception, illusion and reality and
while Manishas artworks persuade the viewer to acknowledge
their internal absolutes. Both artists works transcend the
materiality of their materials to an understated interface with
the teachings of Gandhi, the metaphor of Khadi as a way of life..
These works are deliberate acts of contemplation for the artist
and the viewer.
