Trained at the Department of Miniature Painting at the National
College of
Arts (NCA) in Lahore, Pakistan, Talha Rathore did her Masters at
the Pratt Institute, US, in 1998 where she now lives and works.
Preparing for a solo show at the Bose Pascia Gallery in February
2003, Talha takes time off to discuss her trajectory with Salima
Hashmi, ex-dean of the NCA, relocating her work with wasli, the
handcrafted surface of the traditional South-Asian Moghul and post-Moghul
miniature.
