Written and directed by Sanjay Kak, the documentary film ‘In the Forest Hangs a Bridge’, traces the building of a thousand-foot suspension bridge by the people of Adi village in Arunachal Pradesh, India. The film is an evocation of the tribal community that makes such an incredible feat possible. Shot on 16 mm by cinematographer Ranjan Palit, it is a reflection on the spirit, strength and fragility of the idea of community.
