Editor's Note:
Rain came bubble-wrapped in the guise of a little book. The pages, awash with its wetness of words and images, unfurled a torrent of thoughts, some of which became this issue. ‘Monsoon’, thus inspired Gallerie’s Rain. It came at that moment, when we were parched for good tidings, when we had staggered through the horror of 9/11, the attack on Afghanistan, the massacre in Jammu and the Gujarat riots – during the brief hiatus between these conflicts and the US war on Iraq.
