As some scholars believe, the geographic location of the Angkor complex in Cambodia and the terrestrial location of its principal temples, mirrored the stars in the constellation of Draco at the time of the spring equinox in 10,500 BC. While the date of this astronomical alignment is far earlier than any known construction at Angkor , it appears that its purpose was to “architecturally mirror the heavens in order to assist in the harmonisation of the earth and the stars.”

A group of artists facilitated by Tao Art Gallery , Mumbai, travelled to this site to assimilate its astonishing architecture and respond to its connection with the earth and cosmos. While the experience was overwhelming for the artists, they returned to contemplate on the equation between earth and man, nature and spiritualism, chaos and order, conflict and peace.
