Jacques and Veronique are unusual...
As two primary school teachers, they preferred one day, both at
thirtyfive, to toss away their monotonous sedentary jobs and turn
their lives into one long travelling adventure.
It is now sixteen years since Jacques and Veronique have been travelling.
Up and down the country roads of France on horse-drawn caravans.
Thousands of kilometres have been run, four children born, as well
as a little circus named Cirque Ciel.
In 1984, their first year of travel, the eldest daughter Naima was
born. In a Tepee, which witnessed the birth of three boys after
Naima; Joshua, Lowanla and Aël. They were born in the most
natural way, with Jacques as official midwife, since doctors would
not visit the unique delivery room. The children grew happily, close
to the earth and trees and wood creatures.
