Jonathan Kis-Lev
Middle-East Peace is Possible
Just as he chose his own path in art through the naïve avenues of Rousseau’s art and post- impressionist genres as Van Gogh, he shaped his life as a peace activist. Kis-Lev believes in the power of education and the arts in promoting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. In an ongoing effort, he has joined fellow Palestinian and Israeli artists in 2011 to create a bridge between the two people. In 2014, due to the rising violence in the ‘Silent Intifada’, Kis-Lev, with Palestinian activist Riman Barakat, encouraged dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians. In 2016-17, Kis-Lev broadened the dialogue from adult activists to whole families, bringing together several generations, in order to meet the other side face to face.
